131: In Progress/Show and Tell

March's meeting theme was "Experimental" - any subject done as an experiment, research, or proof of concept.

Royal Model PE, Aluminum Barrel, Fruilmodel tracks with brass pins, scale metal chain.  Weathered with burnt umber and black acrylics and Mig Pigments Russian Earth and Black Soot.

Royal Resin nose, Master pitot tube and AOA probe. The pilot is a combination of PJ Products and kit parts.  Decals are by Fightertown Decals.  The base is a 3 wire frame from Michaels which also contains the batteries for the landing lights and instrument panel lights.

Cockpit is a combination of scratchbuilt details and parts from a Hasegawa Zero.  PE seatbelts, scratchbuilt cowling scoop.  Hasegawa propeller

"Where Custer and his men fought...and died! June 25, 1876" by John Bray
Figures are a combination of 1/32 and 1/30 (54mm and 60mm) by Black Hawk, King & Country, Toy Soldiers of San Diego, Andrea, B&M, and Monarch Minatures in metal, resin, and plastic.  There will be more than 70 figures in the completed diorama.
