37 models!
We had a great turnout in January. 24 members brought 37 models to share and talk about. It was late night for everyone, and of course the next day we had SnowZilla 2016 start!
The big new thing we agreed on was occasionally joining up at the Museum and tinkering around with our kits while folks come buy and ask questions, we hope anyway. The end-game is getting people interested in our hobby enough that they actually buy a kit and glue some plastic together; followed by smearing some paint and then sticking stickers on them. Hey, I'll personally donate a kit to the first timer that doesn't leave a fingerprint!
We agreed to formally meet on 4th Saturday each month, noon to ??. Yes, for February that means the same weekend as the Old Dominion Open on 27th February, but if you aren't going to Richmond, maybe grab a kit, some glue and a couple of tools to show Museum visitors how relaxing it can be? Remember, no swearing! This is a family Museum.
I may mosey down to the Museum on a Saturday afternoon, even if it isn't the 4th Saturday, just to build in a different environment. When I do I'll send out a note on Friday...
Happy modeling!
